About the ISER Society

The International Sanskrit Examinations Resource Society has been set up by friends of St James Schools, London in order to support the provision of public Sanskrit examinations worldwide. The background administration required to make these examinations available is very much a labour of love however this Society exists to allay any additional financial pressures which necessarily arise in relation to such an undertaking. In addition, resources which have been developed over many years of Sanskrit teaching and which can assist in the preparation for the CIE examinations, are offered on this site as well as through St James publishing. 

Members are invited to an Annual Sanskrit Speech Competition and other associated events, as well as receiving the Society's annual review, with its articles on Sanskrit, and even a Sanskrit crossword!

About St James Schools, London

St James Schools http://www.stjamesschools.co.uk provide independent Junior and Senior education and have made the teaching of Sanskrit available as part of the curriculum. Many of the pupils continue on to sit public Sanskrit examinations at ages 16, 17 and 18 years.

Study material developed for the pupils has also been kindly shared as a resource for the teaching of  adult candidates who have wished to further their own studies as well as to support the availability of Sanskrit examinations.
