Information for Examination Officers outside London
Candidate Entry
If you are an exams officer outside London, either in Britain or overseas, and are entering candidates fo the first time, please note the following information:
1. In order to enter candidates for the IGCSE, AS or A Level Sanskrit examinations you first need to inform St James Schools. Please obtain this by contacting ISER through this website.
2. After gaining permission, go to the Cambridge International Examinations website. Please fill in an entry form, accessed through the 'CIE Direct' facility, using the appropriate code from the list below.
Syllabus codes:
IGCSE Sanskrit:-
0499 Option A - Paper 1 (2hrs), Paper 2 (1hr 30mins). Available grades C-G.
0499 Option B - Paper 2 (1hr 30mins), Paper 3 (2hrs). Available grades A*-E.
AS Level Sanskrit:- 8608 Paper 1 (2hrs), Paper 2 (1hr 30mins). (grades A-E)
A Level Sanskrit:- 9606 Paper 1 (2hr 30mins), Paper 2 (2hrs 30 mins), Paper 3 (2hrs 30 mins). (grades A*-E)
Examination Timing:
Please note that the Sanskrit examinations are only offered annually, at present, in May/June. Dates for 2012 examinations are available on the website page entitled 'Examination timing'.
