AS Level Book for Set Text Study 

AS Level Literature Vocabulary 

AS Level reading list - suggested passages to help with essay writing. If you do not wish to purchase these books, check with libraries, and also search online for free online versions. 

Summary of Shrimad Bhagavatam - this gives a simple overview of the contents of the 4 volume series.

Individuals, and institutions preparing students for the AS examinations, are welcome to use the materials but should acknowledge St James Independent Schools London as the source.

Note that the Defined Vocabulary list is required to be known for unseen translation purposes in the exams.  It is listed on the Exam Syllabus page.

In addition, for purchase from bookshops online: 'The Sanskrit Language, An Introductory Grammar & Reader Vols 1 & 2' , by Walter Harding Maurer (available on Amazon). This provides plenty of practice for the 'language' aspect of the AS Level examination.
