7 Term Sanskrit Course for Yoga Practitioners

You will ...

- consolidate the alphabet first, then proceed step by step, guided by an experienced teacher

- understand concepts such as karma, sattva, citta, dharma, more deeply through careful word analysis, and discussion 

- learn to read and understand Sanskrit for yourself

- receive class recordings plus study guidance after each class, for ongoing practice 

- use resources created especially for this class

- enjoy small group practice of Vedic prayers and verses from the Bhagavad Gita

- discover more about the cultural background of Yoga 

The course ...

- Sanskrit language and literature study for the first hour in the main class

- 20 minutes of chanting and pronunciation practice in small groups

- 7 terms of 10 - 12 weeks each

- basic content tried and tested over 40 years but latest materials and techniques used for presentation

- follows the Cambridge IGCSE syllabus (exam itself is optional) overview

Especially adapted for Yoga Practitioners, the course is endorsed by the BWY as eligible for CPD points.
